Refund policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at info@thegardenista.com.au. If your return is accepted, you will be responsible for the cost of sending the order back to us.

DAMAGES AND ISSUES
Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item.

If your order arrives damaged or missing pieces, please send us a photo to info@thegardenista.com.au so we can investigate and organise an exchange or refund. Please note we are unable to provide refunds or exchanges without the damaged items and proof of purchase.

Refunds are issued in the same currency as the original purchase. For example, if the item was purchased using a Visa card, the credit will be refunded to the same Visa card.

EXCHANGES
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

REFUNDS
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

CANCELLATIONS
An order can only be cancelled up to the point it is dispatched. We pride ourselves in dispatching orders promptly, so to cancel please contact us immediately before the goods have left our control. You will receive an email advising you that your order has been dispatched. After that point you will need to accept delivery and then return the order to us in accordance with our Refunds + Returns Policy above.

WARRANTY
Our products are thoroughly tested so we can be sure they will perform flawlessly for the tasks and environments they are intended for. However, it is possible that products may have a material or manufacturing defect. It is of utmost importance for us to receive feedback on defective products as soon as possible so that we can take further action. The Gardenista provides a 12month Warranty on defective products.

The Gardenista Warranty will only apply to a product purchased from us. The Gardenista Warranty will only apply for the period expressly stated on the website to apply to that Product, with the warranty period to commence from the date of purchase of the applicable Product from us.

Where we agree to your Warranty claim, we will decide, depending on the situation, whether you will receive a refund, partial refund, or replacement of any parts we consider to be defective. To the extent permitted by law, you will be responsible for the reasonable costs and expenses associated with making a claim under this Warranty including returning or transporting the defective product to us.

You will not be entitled to a remedy under The Gardenista Warranty for:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage arising from improper assembly or modification 
  • Damage arising from abnormal use, misuse or abuse
  • Damage arising from improper care or maintenance 
  • Damage to external or product packaging only
  • Damage occurring during your own handling and transportation of goods
  • Insignificant minor variations in product dimensions, colour, grain or finish
  • Insignificant minor imperfections or superficial blemishes
